Let me introduce you to my new road bike, Onyx—a Trek Madone SL 5 Gen 8. This bike is lightweight at just under 20 lbs, equipped with a Shimano 105 groupset, and rolls on tubeless tires. I’m still learning what all that means (ha ha)
This is my first Trek and my second road bike. The first was my Giant LIV Avail 3, which I purchased back in 2018. I think it was time for an upgrade. I still plan to ride my LIV, but the Trek will now be my main bike.
I’m excited for all the adventures ahead, from paved paths to wooded trails (once I get my gravel tires). So stay tuned!
